By God's grace Outreach International has been able to continue serving the Lord Jesus in several parts of the world in 2003 and we look forward with great anticipation to new opportunities in 2004. We have

had the privilege ofhelping several recruits to reach the field ofservice the Lord has called them to and we have several recruits preparing for their field of service in the next year. The following is a brief report on how we have seen the Lord work through this ministry in 2003 to accomplish what we believe to be Wis will for Outreach IntemationaL As partners sharing in the ministry of Outreach International it is our prayer that youwill be blessed and encouraged in reading this report.

expectantly for what the Lord has in store for the Piyors and this new field ofservice. The Piyors will arrive in Papua New Guinea in Februarv 2004.

Outreach IntemationaL Obison Joseph has worked inassociation with Outreach International Labors ofLove

ministry for the past eight years and has a long established working relationship with Haiti Directors Wayne and Judy Black. This year Obison Joseph requested the opportunity to serve with Outreach International in a fonml capacity. Wayne and Judy Black continue to act as Directors for all Outreach International work in Haiti which includes Double Vision Christian Ministries, Labors of Love and Haiti Active Evangelism.

A/w In August 2003 recruit Vanessa Vannov. Ozark Christian College graduate, joined Outreach International's missionary team (Bill Baird Famify and Karen Richardson) in Poitiers France where she is involved in languagelearning, student ministry and localchurch ministry. 1

In December 2003 Charles and Bridget Ulibarri started to raise support full time in preparation for joining Allen & Betty Pierce and the missionary team in Equatorial Guinea. West Africa. Lord willing in September 2004 they will be in Cameroon for their 3 month orientation training and then go on to join the missionary team in Equatorial Guinea. In January 2004 Mendall Rogers joined Outreach IntemationaPs missionaries and Bible Translators,

Allen & Betty Pierce in Equatorial Guinea. West Africa. Mendall came to Outreach International after having been involved in missions in short term ministry over her adult life. She came seeking to serve the Lord in Equatorial Guinea working along side the Pierces and Westlakes. In July of 2004 there will be Lord willing, another young couple, Eric & Christa Harland who wiD begin their linguistic and Bible translation studies in hopes of serving in Asia in the near future. We will keep you updated as to this young couple's progress and plans as time goes oa

Moscow. Russia

George and Connie KeraKs continue in preacher/leadership training in Moscow. The Bible College continues to grow and work towards buying their own building and renovating. In 2003 there were over 20 American Christians who came and served with the Keralis' and the Bible College for a short terra The Bible College, Apostle Paul Christian Academy is looking for property to purchase. The student enrollment continues to grow.

Equatorial Guinea. West Africa

We praise God for the ongoing work in Equatorial Guinea. Missionary Team Leaders, Allen & Bettv Pierce have had over 30 people come to Equatorial Guinea to work with the Pierces and see the work that is in progress. Steve & Laurie Westlake has been in Equatorial Guinea for one year. They are currently Stateside due to family needs, but look forward to returning to the ministry in Equatorial Guinea. These Translation teams work with a multitude of churches and coordinate visiting evangelism teams with the national churches so that those coming to Lord link up with the existing churches. There are eleven national translators who have now gone through the translation training course. The goals in translation and literacy work set out two years ago by the Pierces for this ministiy have been accomplished. Rough drafts of Mark and Acts have been completed with work going on in Matthew in the Fang language.

Manuscripts for the JESUS film are also being prepared in the Fang language. We continue to praise God for all He is doing in this field! In February 2004 a second trip will be made by Wayne Black to help with some decision making and as an advisor for the Double Vision Christian Ministries and Haiti Active Evangelism. This field continues to be a challenge for Christian ministry as Satan's stronghold is very evident through political uprisings, etc. But God has continued to bless the efforts of those laboring in this field and the ministiy opportunities continue to grow! Praise the Lord! Obison Joseph continues to work with eight churches that are self-supporting. Double Vision Chritian Ministires works with two churches. 2

Poitiers. France

The Outreach International Missionary team in France consists of Bill and Anne-CaroHne Baird famitv> Karen Richardson, and intern Vanessa Vannov. In November 2003 the small church was able to purchase

restrictions and regulations on buildings, however the church iscontinuing to press on. Cmrent^i^ inflation is very high in France and this has caused a bit of a hardship on the missionaiy team and how far their support goes, however the Lord is continuing to bless their efforts with the church in this area, and we are thankful to be a part of furthering the Gospel of Christ in France, FTL! South Africa

Weare excited about the new opportunities that being a new area provide.

USA We rejoice with Jonathan Hamilton Outreach IntemationaPs President and Teri Layman who were married at Highland Meadows Christian Church on August 9, 2003. Since that time Jonathan and Teri have traveled to several churches in Oklahoma, Missouri and Indianato update their current supporters. They also met with Sonia Hamilton and Richard Castle (OI Advisor) in October to put together plans for a video project Outreach International is wishing to undertake this year. Thisvideo presentation would he used in

supporting churches but would also be primarily directed to possible college recmits looking to serve in one of Outreach International's existing fields of Service and/or pioneering into an unreached people group.

In November 2003 an 18 month audit was done, at Outreach Intemationars request by the Hehmeyer Accounting and Tax Service in Shelbina, Missouri. We were pleased to have this accounting firm review the

Outreach International records for January 1, 2002 through June 30,2003. There were no discrepencies found and we were then advised to invest in a Quickbooks program for Non-profit organizations to simplify the

bookkeeping. This new Non-profit computer program is being implimented as of January 1, 2004. We are thankful for the services ofthe Hehmeyer Accounting and Tax Service and appreciate their input and advice. If you as a supporting church would like to have a copy of this audit please contact Sonia Hamilton at the Bethel, Missouri office.

A! Hamilton has also continued in the recruiting service and missionaiy consultant work of Outreach International as well as meeting with missionaries on their home assignments for Ministry Review sessions. In between these appointments he continues to work on the logistics for the Student International Research project which is a new project working in conjunction with Youth Educational Services and Christian college and university students interested in researching unreached people groups around the world. Your prayers are requested on this project which involves a great deal of strategizing and logistic work. This Youth Educational Services program will include John O. Schofield, Jonathan Hamilton and A1 Hamilton acting as an Executive Committee to work in association with Outreach International and Y.E.S. Although Jonathan Hamilton has had failing health since November 2003, at the time of this report he was improving daify with great expectations of coming out of his lung rejection. Your prayers, phone calls and cards of concern have been greatfy appreciated. We would request that you continue to pray for Jonathan's complete recoveiy from the lung rejection and praise God with us for what He has already done in sustaining Jonathan and Teri during these past difficult months! We are trufy thankful for all the Lord has done!

A1Hamilton, founder of Outreach International, with preachers in Sudan

What is Outreach International? Outreach International is a Missionary Motivation

Ministry designed to recruit Missionary Volunteers for work overseas in areas that are unreached with the

Gospel of Christ or areas that are particularly diffi cult to enter.

O.I. is a non-profit organization

founded by Al Hamilton and John O. Schofield in 1977. The primary goal of Outreach International Is to open a new field every year, as the Lord leads. Outreach International serves to advise and sup

port missionaries in projects God has placed on their hearts

The operating philosophy of Outreach International since its beginning in 1977, is based on the fact that all mankind deserve the chance to hear about the

saving grace of Jesus Christ and that it is each Christian's responsibility to do all we can to reach the world with the Good News of Salvation found in Jesus Christ. Therefore Outreach International has acted as "starters" for those new to worldwide mis

sions and has helped start, by the grace of God, several new missions across the world.

It is in partnership with churches, mission agencies and willing re cruits that God has blessed A1 and Annette with being a part of this mission ministry. A1 and Annette started their missionary work in South Africa soon after they were married. They have also lived and worked in Puerto Rico, Uganda, and Singapore. They have traveled to numerous other countries for survey trips and short-term mission projects. A1 has been involved in getting many mission agencies started, including the founding of Pio neer Bible Translators in 1974. In 1977 A1 felt led by the Lord to start a Missionary Motivation Ministry that focused on re cruiting workers for the unreached fields and areas of the world and help get people who wanted to serve the Lord in this way to

the field and give them a start in missions, and Outreach Inter national was founded. A1 and Annette continue today as Mis sion Consultants and International Directors for Outreach Inter

national. A1 is also the Director for the mission projects in Su dan, and spends time working there in leadership training. All four of A1 and Annette's children are missionaries. A1 and An

Youth Educational Services Y.E.S.

Youth Educational Services is a sister organization of Out reach International. Y.E.S. was incorporated to provide a

'vehicle' to help students and teachers enter countries that are resistant to the Gospel. STUDEI\T II^TEItNATIONAL RESEARCH iS.I.R.)

The S.I.R. project is a project within Y.E.S. which utilizes Chris tian students to conduct vital research of one of the 12.000 un

reached people groups in the world in order to find out what is needed to enter that coimtiy and work among that people group. In this program, a Christian student can serve for a short term visit to do research as a 'rep' for Y.E.S. and in this way go into a foreign country as a student on an educational research project. The student can spend a few days to study the culture and lan

guage of a people even in 'remote' locations of the country, with out being seen as a threat to the government or it's political posi tion. A volunteer in the S.I.R. project will be assigned an un

reached people group. Volunteers will be asked to:

S[)end one hour each month gathering iDfonnation on their unreached people group. (We will show you what to look for.)

Spend one hour each month in prayer for their unreached people group. (The infonnation you collect will guide you in your prayers.)

Participate in advanced research (optional for each vol unteer), by spending 2-3 weeks in the country to investi

gate an unreached people group, researching their par ticular needs. (We will teach you what you need to know to

accomplish this.) The approximate cost for this trip is $2,500. 11*

OUTREACH ESTTERNATIONAL lONATHAN AND TERI HAMILTON

April/May 2004

SEVEN YEARS!

April 17th was my seven-year anniversary of my double lung transplant. We praise the Lord for a great doctor's visit. My lung functions are back up to normal. I am back on a regular ex ercise program and I feel great. Teri and I are both in great health.

BOOKS FOR INDIA

Teri and I enjoyed our road trip in a 15-foot rented truck. We flew to Seattle, Washington and rented a truck to haul books. We stopped at Puget Sound Bible College and picked up about 150 boxes of books to send to India.

Jonathan S. Seu Outreach International

We drove to L.A. and

picked up about 50 more boxes of books at Hope International College and drove home here to Bedford, Texas. Teri's dad, Mark Layman, rented a bigger truck and drove to the East coast, where he dropped off the books after several stops at Bible Col leges and churches to pick up the donated books. They will be shipped to Kerala, India where P.V. Alexander will use them for the Bible College, Nursing School, and elementary school. Praise God for Mark Layman who organized all of that for P.V. Alexan der and the mission in India.

MEXICO

A new family joined Outreach International this month. Mike and Ann McKinney are making plans to go to Mexico as medical missionaries. We are happy that we can help them in this way as we work togetherfor His Kingdom. PAPUA NEW GUINEA

Jesse and Karie Pryor have been successful in getting Outreach International regis tered in Papua New Guinea. We are looking forward to seeing what God will do as they build a literacy center for the Ap Ma people there. Thank the Lord for their three-year plan proposal being approved by the government. They have been over there setting up and getting paperwork done for quite a few weeks now. Please keep them in your prayers as they begin this new endeavor. OUTREACH INTERNATIONAL BOOKLET

There has been a lot going on this summer in O.I. and with us too. I spent two weeks in June at camp, one High School week and one First Chance

week. Camps are always a fun time with the kids and a change of pace, but most importantly it is a time to teach the kids and see changes in them as they get closer to the Lord. MISSIONARY UPDATES

We are happy we are able to serve the 20 or so singles and families that serve full-time with O.I. Many people come under O.I. and then later will go on to other mission organizations or start their own. We always encour age this. We want to serve the missionary as needed. With that being said, Mendall Rogers, who went to Equatorial Guinea in January, resigned from O.I. in May and is now teaching there with a company. We also had to let one of our local evangelists in Haiti go a couple of months back. We had some problems with Brenus and needed to withdraw our partnership with him. If you would like more information about these two changes, please

Congratulations to my other younger sister Sonja and her new hus band Dale Hawkins. They were married November 6th in Bethel Missouri. Karen, her family and Fran and her family from South Africa, were there with us. It was the first time we had all been together for several years. We all had a good time and a joyous time celebrating Dale and Sonja's mar riage. Glad to have Dale part of the family. Dale has been a blessing and a help with orientations for new recruits. His input will continue to be help ful and a blessing to all involved. There is a new couple working with Outreach International) Josh and Susan Sanchez. Josh is the grandson of Gil Contreras. He grew up in Mexico. Josh and Susan have been working for several months in Hondu ras. They were involved with teaching in a school and doing preaching, teaching, and discipllng. They have been able to leave that work with other missionaries. They are in the pro gress of making a move to Mex ico. They will be on their way to Manzanillo Mexico on December

The missionary convention in Peoria IL. went very well for us. We had a great annual O.I. board meeting and were able to get a lot of things discussed. We have had a lot of new things go ing on this past year. Josh and Suzan Sanchez were able to attend our meeting and get intro duced to our directors and some of our advisors. The convention also allowed us to meet several

new people and a lot of other old friends and missionaries etc. We have been blessed to be able to help and send several new missionaries this year where the Lord is leading them in ministry, where there is such a greater need than here in the USA.

Allen and Betty Pierce, missionaries serving in Equatorial Guinea, have a great article in the December issue of Horizons. They have been with Outreach Intemational for several years now and are doing a tremendous job over there. Charles Ulibarri and his family have just arrived after fmishing their training in Cameroon, to work with Allen and Betty. Keep them all in yoxu prayers.

We want to mention something about one of our missionaries each newsletter so you can be better informed about the work you are a part of through prayers and/or financial support Bill and Ann Caroline Baird along with Karen Richardson in Poitiers, France have moved into their new church building. September 12 was their grand opening. They had 55 people in atten dance. They continue to have great success with Bible Studies, youth programs, pulpit ministry, and leadership conferences. The University Campus Ministry is a big part of their ministry there.

We praise the Lord for the work that the Lord is doing through them in that place. Please pray for them, the work and also Ann Caroline as she is due to have their third child January lOlh. Teri and I have been busier than normal, if that is possible. Sure seems to be that way these past few months. Our health has beesn good, althougli I did have ai little surgiq^ procedure done on my bottom lip. There was a lesion on my lower lip that ended up having early stages of

cancer cells in the biop^. The docior had to cut most ofthe red part ofmy lip off. The last part that they cut off showed ho signs of cancer, so they are pretty sure they got it aU. ft

very weU. My lip is numb now, which is different to get used to, but no cancer, ft took awhile to be able to eat normally again, but I am finally there. Otherwise, all is well with pur health. Thank

you for your continued prayers in that matter. Speaking of health; Please keep Karie Piyor in Papua New Guinea in your prayers as she is recovering from her first bought of Malaria. The work there is going ^dl.

Teri and I want to wsh you a very Merry Christmas. Hope you get this before Christmas, but we pray that you will have a great time celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus as He was on this earth in the flesh for a time. We have enjoyed sharing this time with some of Teri's foreign students at the University of Texas at Arlington. We are looking forward to having all my sisters

and families with us here in Texas for Qiristmas tbo. We hope you can be with family this time of the year. We continue to thank God for all He is doing with Outreach Intemational and all the people involved. May the Lord bless you and keep you eis you live for Him.

You^Servants in Christ,
